iconic is seeking the perfect candidate for JEWELRY SPECIALIST as a part of our CUSTOMER SERVICE and FRONT DESK TEAM. We offer a relaxed environment, flexible hours and on-the-job training.
PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT a call for an apprentice, nor will this position lead to a tattoo or body piercing apprenticeship.
Previous knowledge about piercings, body jewelry and/or tattoos is not a requirement. A candidate interested in the industry (especially in piercing and body jewelry) is preferred, however one does not need to be pierced or tattooed to work at iconic. It is much more important to us to find someone with the right attitude who has a strong interest in learning about the various styles and sizes of body jewelry in order to better assist clients.
We are seeking someone who is able to pay close attention to detail, possesses the ability to retain information, and can successfully multi-task. If hired, be prepared to go through a lengthy on-the-job training period during which we will provide everything you will need.
Pay is negotiable. Part time position, 20 – 25 hours per week. Responsibilities include:
– providing confident, clear, and professional communication with clients
– helping clients choose jewelry for new and existing piercings
– creating visually appealing jewelry displays
– answering phones and booking piercing and tattoo appointments in a busy online calendar
– answering tattoo, piercing and body jewelry related questions both on the phone and in person
– maintenance; daily upkeep of the studio lobby, front counter/jewelry area
– general office duties
